Eunice Kennedy Shriver 1921-2009 was the greatest HERO to us all.

Don’t we all want to do something good with are lives?
Live out are lives as God planed for us
Whatever that may be

I know that’s what I wan to be
And, do something special with my life
In grade school I would look at all the other kid’s
And, ask mom when I got home
“Why did God make me this way”
I know God has a plan for all of us
We might have to go through some thought times
But, we can make it through the rain

The climb is long
But, we will get their in time
To see the founder again

As you may know we lost a very important lady the mother of special olympics. In honor of Mrs. Shriver me And my creative team are writing a tribute song to Mrs. Shriver called “Thank You”. I want the help of everyone in the fan community for the project. Thank you for dedicating your life to creating communities for people with cognitive disabilities through sport.
I am the parent of a son with a cognitive disability. Raising him has been a struggle that has given me a purpose and lots of joy over the past 15 years.
Having a child with special needs has been extremely isolating for me as a parent. We live in a small suburb in southeastern WI and my son in the only person in his grade with an intellectual disability.
At the special olympics in our area my son is finally able to be part of a community where he is not marginalized by his diability. It has changed his feelings about himself and his outlook toward the future.
As a parent I also love being in a setting where I am just another parent rather than the parent/advocate/teacher representing the needs and experiences of my special needs son. I love it!
So thank you Ms. Shriver for bringing so much healing and joy to my son, to me and to the world.

I love you Ms Shriver so much you have gaving me and others the opertunitity to compete and win trophys medels ribbions too doctors told my parents when I was a little girl that I could never walk talk hear and you gave me the opertunitity to win gold silver bronzes medals ribbins trophys too now that i can walk talk hear even I have a disability I dreamed of going to medical school and you have opened the doors in my life too I love you Mrs Shriver and special olympics so so so so much love allways Nadine Dambra age 43
