About Me
David Steffan is 24. He was born with mild cerebral palsy on his left side. This gave him little range of motion in his left arm and leg. Having the disability, David has had to overcome a lot of challenges which he has with the help of special organizations. David founded the “Let Me” Foundation as a way to help disabled individuals that might want to achieve their goals and dreams like other organizations helped him. Mr. Steffan is known for his music talents. Two years ago David created a song for one of the organizations which has helped him a lot in his life. The song is called “Let Me”. The song’s chorus is actually the organization oath. When asked what inspired you to write the song, David replied, "All the kids with disabilities that work so hard for what they believe in and will just go out there and try their best no matter what the case is.” Since writing the song David has preformed it for the organization in front of large crowds including a national crowd of 10,000 people. David also leaves everyone with one message that is to live life as a true champion. What he means by that is that a true champion is not measured on how much he or she is admired. A true champion is measured by how much she or he can stand in the face of adversity. You can’t go through life believing your own ego. Sometimes you need someone to say "Hey you’re slacking." When they say that you can do one of two things one you can pout and feel sorry for your self or two you can step up. That's what he chose to do when he created “Let Me”. Chose to step it up and share his talent. He also leaves his final message and that’s to remember being different is not a bad thing... different is greatness. Recently David created "Let Me Anthem" to inspire everyone to go out and follow their dreams and to stand up and say "Let me have the chance".
