    One of the activities at the Project UNIFY Conference was Be a Fan!  We had a prep rally by making posters, signs and creative things to support the teams at the baseball game we went too! This is a picture of Caitlin - an Athlete representing Special Olympics Delaware and Clement - a Unified Partner also representing Special Olympics Delaware!

    One of the activities at the Project UNIFY Conference was to gather with new people and share our ideas in response to questions about the respect, acceptance and inclusion for all people regardless of abilities.  For each question, we had to draw, describe in a few words or be creative for our answers!  This was a great way to meet new people, exchange wonderful ideas and have fun!!!

    This activity was called Chalk Talk. This activity was an awesome way to us, as a group of like-minded individuals to express our ideas through a different way of communicating.  We had to asnwer the following questions in a few words by putting them on an eighty-foot piece of paper on the wall without talking!!!

    1) What words express to you the impact that Special Olympics has if it's successful?

    2) What strategies will you need to employ to be successful?  

    After twenty minutes of no talking, we reflected about the responses. The microphone was passed around for further testimony.
